Alternativeoradditional incomegeneratingopportunitiesareneededtosupport the millionsof poor familieswhocanno longer support their livelihoods fromthe land alone. Currently theAgro processing industryandthemanufacturing industrycontributes to less than10%to Tanzania’sGrossDomestic productwith increase investment it is hoped that the sectorcancontributemoretoTanzaniaeconomicwell-beingandbringabouttangible benefitstotheTanzanianpeoplesuchasemploymentcreationandpovertyalleviation
